Application
GENERAL INFORMATION
> This group is not strictly an art group; as such we do allow both WRITTEN and VISUAL applications so long as there is significant effort applied to it. Please do not use a written app to substitute for a drawn one if you have the capacity to do an art one. The written application is created for those without the comfort, skill, or access of a drawn application. You are welcome to use adopts, commissioned art, or otherwise as well.
> You may host your application on whatever format or medium is most comfortable to you, but please refrain from postage mail. Strange letters at my house give me the heebie jeebies and will probably be set on fire.
> Your App, visual or written, will be softly critiqued to make sure you fit in with the story; however your story will not be strong checked and only suggestions will be made. The same will apply to personality. This does not mean create a Mary Sue or Gary Stu. If you choose to do so, there is no requirement for anyone else to interact with them, so it will be at your own risk.
> However; overly "cringy" characters will not be accepted by request of the community. You will be sent strong suggestions to make before you can join the group. We want diversity, but we don't want to make our player base turned off by someone else's character to the point of discomfort.
> You, as a player, are also evaluated when you come into the server. Any concerning behavior will be brought up so you know expectations of you as a player, but most of the time these do not bar your entry to the group or put you on any kind of "watch list". It would take something severe to be declined for this. Behavior from groups outside of Betwixt is irrelevant unless it has directly caused, or will cause, detriment or harm to an existing member.
> The color you choose to showcase as your Color Attunement should be special to your character in some way; be it a memory, a symbol, or simply their favorite. More about Attunements and Greys can be found in the Dictionary.
> The World Between exists at all times and spaces, simultaneously, so your Grey can be from the present, past, future and any style of clothing or aesthetic; so long as it makes sense. For futuristic Greys, try not to go too crazy with the sci fi elements. Prosthetic parts are allowed to the normal function of the thing they are replacing and no further and should look almost or very close to the real thing. (No xray vision and laser beams please)
VISUAL APPLICATIONS
> There is a standard template for your application; as follows.
Beyond this, follow the general applications template.
If you do like like this template, feel free to make your own!
Just follow these three rules:
> It must be the same size and orientation
> It must be black and white as a base template
> It must include all of the same information.
Have fun!

The following is an example and does not have to be exactly replicated to help you understand what a "Grey" looks like.
Greys should simply look like a faded out person with one bold color; how you do this entirely up to you.

A Grey may wear their cause of death if you wish, and it can be willfully turned on and off with emotions. Some Grey have more or less control of it. Please keep this ability classy - do not spew blood and guts on my nice floor, I just had it waxed.

Please do not replicate this specific character, he is a personal OC and not associated with this group.
Design checklist:
> Any color not associated with your attunement should be washed out, ashy, or faded looking.
> Your attunement should very obvious and/or bright compared to the rest of the colors in the design.
> The person should look vaguely inhuman as a result, like a ghost or a bad photocopy.
WRITTEN APPLICATIONS
> A base template can be found HERE but is completely optional. You are free to make your own if you like, go feral and crazy. (A super serious, original character is being used as a demo. Please, for the love of gods above delete him as you go.) DO NOT fill this out if you have a drawn application. I do not want to review 2 apps.
> A description of your character including but not limited to the following information:
A basic description of general looks. Try to be as blunt as possible, this is not a writing contest but a description to follow for anyone to base your character off of. Try not to be cryptic or overly poetic as a result, as it may confuse or give the wrong idea.
Body Type, Build, and musculature.
Associated obvious gender qualities (example: do they have boobs y/n)
Shade of Color used, and locations applied, remember all other locations will be muted and desaturated.
Weapon type and a BASIC description of how it works.
Your Stats (12 Points) in STRENGTH, DEFENSE, SPEED, and INTELLIGENCE.
You will not gain stat points for these outside of gear upgrades, so they should be a rough idea of how your character functions.
Beyond this ,follow the General Applications template.

Player Information
> After you get accepted, you will have access to the "Player Profile" channel. You'll be asked to fill in a form including the following and a couple of questions:
Discord Name
Timezone
Triggers or subjects that make you generally uncomfortable. (These are added to a group wide list of no nos.)
> The next two questions are considered "Fleshy" questions that give people a chance to get to know you a little and what you expect of the world and them if they approach you, so try not to be generic with these responses. Pitch yourself as if you were asking for a roleplay- these can be changed any time in the intro channel. These can be humorous, but they should always be included.
1-2 things are you are looking for?
( Some examples could be timezones, activity levels, specific interactions like band members- what is your goal of joining? What is it that you want? What makes you comfortable?)
1-2 things you would like to avoid?
(See above, a good example would be 'Cussing characters, smoking, drinking, excessive gambling, flirting- maybe you really don't like emotes and emojis in posts! Be honest. You're allowed to be comfortable.)
